Ok, so Intuit keep putting prices up for their Quickbooks software and I'm going to look for an alternative moving into the 2025/26 tax year.

My needs are tracking sales and expenses, invoicing, multi currency, and yearly reports.

They have recently increased my monthly cost from £33 to £39 and for how much use I make of it, I'm thinking there muse be more cost effective options out there.

You can 'buy back' any missing national insurance years from 2006 to 2018 until that deadline. After that, you'll only be able to buy back the last six financial years.

Mein Montag bis jetzt? Beschissen. Sitze hier und heule. Weil? Turns out, there is a new service. Eine Seite aus Portugal, die Rezepte scrapt von Webseiten und Videos, ohne die lästigen Texte drumherum. Bei Bsky jubeln sich meine Mutuals gegenseitig zu wie toll das ist und wie scheiße und lächerlich Foodbloggertexte sind. Tut gut, dass zu lesen. Ich hatte dazu einen Thread verfasst und darf mir jetzt seit 3 Stunden erzählen lassen, dass ich ja selbst Schuld bin, ich ja auch nur klaue und dass Leute Anspruch auf meine kostenfreie Arbeit haben. Ach so, ja bloggen muss ich ja auch nicht, das macht eins ja freiwillig. Arbeiten gehen muss ja auch niemand, wa? Ist freiwillig. Außerdem ist es ja nicht das Problem des "Endkunden", dass ich nix verdiene. (Ey, ehrlich: Ich habe Angebote via Patreon und Ko-Fi, die werden halt nicht wirklich genutzt.)

Ich poste das hier, zusätzlich, damit ihr auch sehr, was da dran hängt, wenn ihr so einen Service nutzt. Für mich hängt da nämlich u.a. meine Krankenversicherung dran. Als chronisch kranker Spoonie nicht ganz so unwesentlich. Ich werde hier ausdrücklich nicht auf weitere Kommentare dazu eingehen und weiter mit Horst-Hugos und Karens darüber diskutieren, wie unwert meine Arbeit ist und wie fucking weird es ist, dass ich Geld zum Leben brauche. Verletzt sein, ist ein zu kleiner Ausdruck gerade.
