#Henry had a rough day today. His sister #Diamond insisted on sharing his cat bed, leaving hardly any room* for him at all! Poor guy had no choice but to hang his head out the front of the bed. Truly tragic. Somewhere Sarah McLachlan is singing.
*there was SO much room, but where’s the drama in that?
Today’s 3 good things:
- Had a great and exhausting workout this morning. Pushed through even though I wanted to quit.
- Started clearing out my physical office space as I transition to 100% telework. Still a lot to pack up, but any start is a good start.
- It was a bit chilly today, so my #cats were adorably cuddly with each other.

Henry is tuckered out after a semi-active play session spent mostly lying on his side under his tunnel on the floor (his preferred hunting style). 
He spotted me taking the first picture and immediately got up to walk over to me. Action shot! I think he also wanted to show off his impressive whiskers.
Sometimes, when I’m starting a new crochet blanket project, I arrange my colors and snap a pic to help me visualize potential patterns. Something’s off about this photo though, and I can’t quite put my finger on it… 
Good morning, Mastodon! It’s technically afternoon for me…the entire household slept very late today so we’re all feeling a bit lost in time and space. Henry and Diamond will get us back on track once they’ve finished their beauty naps. Happy #Caturday!
Henry has newly-rediscovered his cubby hole on the stairs. He’s too big (his feet/tail often stick out the front) but he doesn’t let that stop him!
(Pic 1 note: Henry almost always moves when I try to take a pic. He assumes I’m approaching to mush him and gets up to walk toward me. This makes getting pictures difficult! I tried to sneak up the stairs on my belly, holding my phone above stair level to get the pic unnoticed. It didn’t work lol)

Tonight we bring you coverage of the ever-popular Sideways-Stair Stand. #Henry comes into this event at a slight disadvantage, still recovering from an intense case of morning zoomies. Here, we see his technical execution is lacking (all 4 feetsies must contact the stair to get gold). The inclusion of a squishy ballie and slightly curled tail earns him much-needed artistic points, however. 7/10.

Here’s an exclusive look at Henry’s gold medal performance in the FlipFlop Flopping event! His exquisite form (flopping on not one but BOTH flipflops simultaneously) along with a folded footsie (artistic element) makes him unbeatable in this competition. 10/10.
After a busy eventful day yesterday (I got my first tattoo!), #Henry and I are spending a lazy day watching the #Olympics today. I love the Olympics…every two years I become a temporary expert in one or more sports either I have never tried and/or in which I possess zero skill, but whose athletes I proceed to judge and critique with complete confidence. Right now we are #fencing experts.
I bought a lap pillow recently. It’s technically a nursing pillow for babies, but I use it to elevate my needlepoint closer to my face. However, my cats are convinced I bought it for them, and I don’t have the heart to disappoint them…
Henry especially loves “tummy time” on the baby pillow.
Henry says vibes are off today. He recommends becoming a donut until it passes.
