Yesterday was our street-party "Get Down" against private jets, at Copenhagen Airport in Kastrup, together with @ExtinctionR Denmark. The richest 1% of the world´s population is responsible for half of the CO2 emissions from commercial air traffic. While the 99% are dealing with a burning world and barely managing to pay the bills, the 1% are city-hopping and spending weekends in Mediterranean beaches. It is time to #MakeThemPay and #BanPrivateJets.

Today I booked my trip to go home for the Christmas holidays. I am French but living in Helsinki and trying to #StayGrounded.

If doing the round trip without flying, the cost is currently around 800€.
👉 Traveling by 🚅 and ⛴️ emits 120 kg/CO2 and takes 4 days.

If doing the round trip by ✈️, the cost is around 450€.
👉 Flying emits 380 kg/CO2 and takes 6hours 20 minutes.

How can we still accept the most polluting transports being the cheapest at times of #ClimateCrisis?
