The environmental impact of #videogames can be disastrous, especially with titles coming from AAA studios (EA, Ubisoft, Activision, …) with their energy hungry games as a service 100% online on servers only partially trying to run on #sustainableenergy.

Only #indiegame companies have been known to look for the most lightweight game possible (mainly due to development limitations). However some have decided to look after their environmental impact. Known Mysteries is a browser game running entirely on solar energy. Due to the limitations, the game features compressed videos, simplified gameplay and low graphics, rendering the game with a unique experience. Also, it’s cool to know where your game is running.

Hey, folks, looking to #getFediHired

I've got some good prospects already, but I'd love to speak with anyone in the #SustainableEnergy #GreenEnergy and #logistics sectors. I'm #Chicago and/or will work remote, I have a proven track record leading several organizational transitions to #kubernetes and #cloudNative architecture. If you want help there, OR if you can help me better understand either of those verticals, I'd greatly appreciate a DM.

I wrote several posts over the last few days in which I have spoken out against the use of wood as a "renewable" energy source as I am concerned with the use of wood as an energy source on a large scale, especially with the label "climate-friendly".
Replacing an old oil or gas heating system with a wood pellet makes no sense (to me).

If #copper is vital to the #GreenTransition then warnings from #miners about future capacity issues might need to be heeded (or considered).

Obviously, there is certain amount of self interest in the copper producers highlighting difficulties in mining, but equally if there is likely to be a squeeze on copper supplies later in the decade, then the costs of a shift to #sustainableenergy may be greater than current envisaged... or an alternative to copper needs to found!

Meanwhile off the coast of #Scotland development has stopped on the fourth largest #offshore #windpower project in the UK.

Rapid #inflation in costs & no Govt. response on the earlier agreed Green Tax levy on such developments (to recognise the impact of such increased costs) means that like #Vattenfall before it, Community Winpower had decided it cannot continue.

Rather than focus on #IHT, this is the #economic & #tax issue #RishiSunak should have focussed on!

#sustainableenergy is vital!

@gwynnion The #FossilFuelCompanies have spent large amounts of money on #propaganda questioning climate science. At this point I feel all #FossilFuel companies must be nationalized, and all profits used for switching to truly #SustainableEnergy sources and fighting #ClimateChange. BTW #Tesla is more than a car company. They make battery storage banks that will allow solar and wind energy to be the primary energy source. For how read: rethinkx.com/energy
