Today's the Day! Don't miss out.

STEM Educators, we hope you can join us tonight, March 25, 8-9 pm ET / 5-6 pm PT for this free live webinar on the power of short films in STEM education.

The workshop will highlight opportunities for civic engagement for students as well as education regarding the environmental issues and challenges facing the world today. We'll also explore tools and resources for 'The Crisis Scientists' — a 6-minute documentary short celebrating heroes fighting to save the planet. This is a hands-on experience featuring tangible materials that can immediately be used in the classroom. For high school and early higher ed.

[Boosts welcome & appreciated!]

The more I teach, the more challenging I find grading. As I've learned more about how people learn and how criticism can impair learning, I'm finding it harder to strike the balance between providing feedback about misconceptions without fearing I'm crushing someone's confidence.

'Working time restrictions for 14-15 year-olds who are home-schooled would also be removed'

If Florida passes this law, then you will see that the schools in the countryside will empty out.

But that is not a problem because the Ministry of Education will be closed anyway.

Let's all go back to the 1900s.
Life was so great then for the average workman. /s

"I came to the U.S. Department of Education to what I thought was a dream role at the Office for Civil Rights and a role that would allow me to marry my legal background with my #education background and help enforce protections of Title VI, Title II, and Title IX [of the Civil Rights Act] ... We made sure that we protected all students, regardless of race, sex, or disability."

So... my son's school district of Somerville (in Massachusetts) is fighting back against the unlawful dismantling of the DOE. His school, a Title I school, would be effected. "The inability of many citizens to make the connection between Trump’s policies and their growing economic hardship is emblematic of the problem. They cannot see that they are victims of a despotic oligarchy bent on effecting the greatest transfer of wealth from their pocketbooks to those of the fabulously wealthy."
