Trying out outlines combined with other p8scii features for #picotron 0.2.0d. The outline command ("\^o") takes a colour and a bitfield indicating which neighbours to set. This will probably also make it into #pico8 0.2.7 along with rrect()

I felt like diagramming my little #pico8 ground plane system, because it's working way better than I had hoped.

Each tile of the game map (right) expands into an 8x8 tile region of medium distance content. Then each tile of those regions expands to another 8x8 tile region of close up content.

Today I had my hands inside a Dell PowerEdge T610 that started stopping unexpectedly. Damn the CMOS battery holder on those is A) tight hole on the battery B) loosely held to the mainboard and C) tucked in a nearly inaccessible spot. 🖕Dell.

So, to summarize my TED talk: Not Even Once!

Side note: really enjoying #pico8 this last week 😉

Fixed the “corner push” glitch in my #LD57 game... turns out it was indeed caused by my shitty screen shake!
Big thanks to a kind soul in the community who told me what the glitch was called, reviewed my messy code, and helped me squash it

Lost quite a bit of time, but now I finally hope to build the level and add some visual sugar on top of this glorious pile of spaghetti code.
