So hi - my name is Matthew! I'm a British Autistic Demigirl (Transfem Enby is also good) going by She/Her pronouns. Currently questioning my Specie Identity. I love doing 3D animations, video editing and casual gaming in my free time. I'm also a fan of retro computers, particularly from Acorn Computers' branch of tech, and I have a StrongARM-based Acorn RiscPC to re-experience a large majority of my childhood games and programs back in the day.

I'm currently doing DIY Monotherapy HRT as I couldn't stand the outdated requirements before starting going down the "official" route. I love presenting more femininely with skirts, overshoulder shirts and croptops; but I strongly dislike makeup - my style is best described as "Trans Tomboy"!

Hey, so I gotta confess something.

While I am a trans girl, and I feel like a girl all the time, there are times where I realize that I'm more of a Demigirl... it's hard to explain, but it's half girl, half fem-aligned enby

Also, I started realizing that I'm more Fin (Finsexual & Finromantic), rather than Pan (Pansexual & Panromantic)...

I need help finding the right items to use and method for shaving facial hair. I spent a long time with a giant beard shaving nothing at all, but now that I’m giving in to what I’ve wanted to be since before kindergarten, I need some help. I’ve searched around, watched videos, etc., and everything I find is well out of my budget. If anyone can help me solve this, I would be very grateful. Before I get to questions, I have a few things that are necessary to know:

• First and foremost, I am disabled and live on a very small budget from disability.
• Amongst my various health issues, chronic fatigue, tremors, and vertigo/dizziness have the greatest effect on anything I need to do involving motor skills, especially ones which might leave accidental cuts on my face.
• My face is chubby. Advice I’ve seen to “stretch your skin flat” absolutely does not work for me.
• I have a decent electric shaver, but it doesn’t get close enough at all. I imagine other electric ones would leave stubble behind as well.

Okay, so here are some things I’d like more information about if anyone knows something:

1. I have no idea what razor to use. I saw in a few videos that pivoting head razors work, but the ones shown were out of my spending range. I can’t drop $70 on a razor.
2. My current shaving cream might need to be improved. However, my allergies don’t play well with most things that have “fragrance” listed as an ingredient.
3. Is aftershave actually needed? If it is, does anyone know of one that is fragrance free, good quality, and not overpriced? A bonus would be something that doesn’t burn too.

These are questions from my general knowledge of shaving. Nobody taught me how to shave so it’s likely I have gaps in what to do to create a good shaving process to get a very close shave and have smoother skin. It is upsetting / distressing / frustrating (something along those lines, yay alexithymia!) to spend a long time shaving, tiring myself, to end up with a face still filled with rough stubble.

Please let me know if something in this post does not make sense. Brain fog combined with sometimes odd sentence structure can lead to perplexing thoughts mooshed together, etc.

I'm a transfem demigirl and I also describe myself as lesbian, although its a bit more complicated than that. I care deeply about trans issues, queer life, and other LGBTQ+ topics. DMs are open to anyone questioning their gender or struggling with their identity.

I enjoy programming as a hobby and I dabble with retro-computing. I've got a particular fondness for 80s era computers, even though they're well before my time. There's just something fun about the unique and creative computer designs from that decade! I particularly love my Timex Sinclair 2068, even though it's not a particularly famous or popular machine.
