Startrails on a summer night in Gran Canaria.

This is a series of 400 pictures I took in 2017, with the company of my great friend @notengocerebro.

Astrophotography has always been fascinating to me, and has also worked as a kind of therapy. Witnessing the magnificence of the Universe always helps me relativize problems or overwhelming situations, and helps me put things into perspective.

It also gives me the opportunity to live two moments at the same time: the past from the stars, and the present of the moment.

Windige Sonnenblumen

🇬🇧 Even in the greatest darkness and strongest storm, there are lights that offer unwavering peace and security.
_____
A passing car illuminated the field of sunflowers, allowing me to photograph the field as a single exposure with a shorter exposure (and less motion blur).
The focus is on the flowers; the astigmatisms of the Viltrox are probably particularly wide-spread as a result.

Work In Progress Nocturne, Calçada de Sao Francisco, Lisbon Oil On Linen
18” x 24”
A combination of ink marker, colored pencil and oil paint at this stage. It's just the beginning of the change from a cartoon into a painting; I'm beginning to clarify the light and darks of all the details in the scene which make it come to some kind of life.
