Found this cute little panel in my stash, don't even remember buying it (yes, I know). But whipped out this little design together with stuff from my scrap pile.

I love it so much. These are all things I loved as a child. I wish I had a friend or family with a new baby so I could keep it in the "family", but I don't so it will get donated.

Nothing fancy and full of mistakes - but I'm proud (sort of) of it and my non-binary child is now sleeping the first night blissfully under it's rainbow quilt.
And: One big project that really is finished! Yay! Take this ADHD! 😅

Living Room. A Person (you only see the fingers) holds a big quilt (145 x 190 cm). The quilt consists of big squares in uni colours. The colour change follows the rainbow scheme.

My work for the next days: Sewing this flowers and butterflies (there ist batting underneath each, glued with textile glue) with ladder stitch all around the edges on the bought pillow case (80 x 80 cm). After this it is quilting time. 🧵
(Not everything is my colour palette/pattern, but it's especially requested by my kid. I sew a relatively simple quilt blanket out of big blocks in rainbow colours last year for my child and will also appliqué butterflies and my beloved rainbow-flowers on this.)

Shhhh! This is a secret, made for our granddaughter -- she doesn't use Mastodon, so I should be fairly safe. ;) Her high school dance team won a national championship in hip hop (for the second consecutive year!), as well as the state championship in all categories. The quilt is a tee-shirt quilt to act as a cuddly memento of her years on the team. I machine pieced and free-motion machine quilted this.

Quilt made with 12 large blocks, cut from tee shirts from four years on a high school dance team. The ten outer blocks are navy or black with various logos from the high school. The two center blocks are the only white ones. The quilt is sashed in gold with white cornerstones. There is white piping and navy binding.
This is the back of the same quilt, showing two more blocks like those on the front, both navy with gold sashing and white cornerstones. The rest of the back is a blue batik print.

I'm really proud of this quilt and I hope I can find an organization that wants to auction it to raise funds, but I fear it took me too long to finish and it's moment has passed

The original phrase was from SarahEppersonShop on Etsy - etsy.com/listing/1170204369. I'd been looking for an opportunity to make improv roses and it all just came together

Red, white and blue rose quilt with the phrase "Roses are red, No lives are blue, defund the police, abolish ICE too" in improv pieced letters. The word red is in red fabrics, blue is in navy fabrics and the remainder of the letters are pieced from scrappy colonial blue fabrics. Red and navy improv pieced roses accented with moss green leaves appear above and below the words, all on a scrappy white background. There is a small red scrappy border and a wider navy scrappy border surrounding the central image.

We liked how warm and cozy the quilted curtain made our family room last winter a lot. So I made a second one for the dining room (sure, winter’s almost over, but that’s the life of a quilter)

Would love help naming this one - it matches our Grinch/Whoville holiday decor so I'd love to have that tie into the name, but otherwise, I'm stumped 🤷‍♀️

Red quilt with giant pink asterisks blocks (really giant, the quilt is 7 ft by almost 8.5 ft and there's only 4 full asterisks. The rest are partial asterisks because there just isn't more space.) Each pink asterisk is pieced from a single carnation pink fabric.

I've finished #quilting this lap quilt! It's not particularly large but it's taken me a year to complete and it's absolutely been a labour of love. I have a deeper appreciation for hand stitching!

I'm sending it to my sister who's still undergoing chemo, with a note that says "each stitch is a prayer for your good health and happiness" and some photos of it in progress so she can see how many stitches actually went into it.

A transparent A4 weston box with a quilt inside, the lid open and resting on the side of it. The quilt is folded so that the central yellow and red starburst is in the centre of the box. At the centre of the starburst is a hand-drawn panel of The Little Prince standing with a rose and a fox. Also resting on the corner of the box is a photo of the quilter sewing the quilt.

The quilt is in three main sections, the centre is a round starburst in yellow, red, and lavender, squared out by white fabric with small green, red, and blue stars. At the centre of the starburst is a hand-drawn image from The Little Prince including the prince on his planet, a rose, and a fox. The hair of the little prince has been satin stitched in yellow, the rose is 3D embroidered, and the fox's tail has also been satin stitched to give it the illusion of fluffiness. To either side of the starburst square are two squares: One of the squares is a Bright Hopes Star with the centre square matching the white star field, framed by red to match the starburst, with yellow rays to match the starburst. The field is lavender as in the starburst. The other square is navy blue with appliqued planets in yellow and red with yellow and red embroidered stars. A light green is used around the two squares to make them the same height as the starburst, and another strip of the same light green is on the outside to make the quilt a little wider. Each block of light green has a different style of top stitching, including straight lines, zigzags, and some hexagonal sashiko. The whole quilt is bordered with a dark green.
