Despite his "strongly worded letter", the SC Board of Education showed common sense and correctly rejected Rep John McCravy's call to ban a school textbook on literature.
He claims he merely wants to ban ""pornography"" from classrooms. But his definition is extreme and dangerous. He wants to eradicate people from our state (even the mere mention of their existence) who don't fit in his narrow view of morality.
On the Democratic side, we've got great names like Russell Ott, Heather Bauer, and Jermaine Johnson. But our bench is thin. Very thin!
