Asked what was next, #TomHoman said: "Another flight, another flight every day."

With the #Republican-controlled #Congress largely backing his agenda, federal judges have often been the only constraint on #Trump, putting many actions hold while they consider their legality. In several cases, the admin has refused to comply w/judicial orders.

On Mon, #Trump's border czar, #TomHoman, said the flights were already in international airspace when the judge's orders came & that more flights would continue.

"Once you're outside the border, you know, it is what it is. But they're in international waters, already on the way south, close to landing. You know what? ... We did what we had to do," he told FauxNews…. [The law applied to the admin’s actions who were not in international jurisdiction; idiot.]

Speaking…Sunday, dog killer #KristiNoem noted that Lyons has a “long history” of working alongside #Trump’s border czar, #TomHoman. Lyons & Sheahan, she said, “have done incredible work *cleaning up* our communities & making them safer” [whiter].

“Adding more people to the team…is going to allow us to partner w/local law enforcement ofcls to make sure that we truly are following through on enforcing the #law, & if you break our law, then there’s going to be consequences,” she said.

#TomHoman declined to confirm details about a possible deployment in #Chicago & said operational plans are left up to regional #ICE offices. It would be unusual for an admin to be involved in law enforcement planning operations before the presidential #transition is complete, though Homan acknowledged he has engaged in some preliminary discussions about enforcement.

“We just told them: Put your boots on,” Homan said.

…#TomHoman …& other incoming #Trump ofcls have said repeatedly that they are planning to immediately switch into enforcement mode, & that any of the 11 million undocumented immigrants in the #US illegally could be a target.

…Homan said at a holiday party last month in #Chicago that the admin would start raids “right here” & threatened to prosecute Mayor Brandon Johnson (D) for harboring undocumented immigrants if he got in the way.

The seesawing reports of possible #raids in #Chicago can stir up fears that advance the admin’s broader enforcement goals, even if operations are postponed or shifted to other cities. #TomHoman & other #Trump aides say they want immigrants living in the United States illegally to once more fear arrest & choose to leave the country on their own, or “self-deport.”

“#ICE will start arresting public safety threats & national security threats on day one,” #TomHoman said. “We’ll be arresting people across the country, uninhibited by any prior administration guidelines. Why Chicago was mentioned specifically, I don’t know.”

“This is nationwide thing,” he added. “We’re not sweeping neighborhoods. We have a targeted enforcement plan.”

#ICE has been planning a large operation in the #Chicago area for next week that would start after Inauguration Day & would bring in additional officers to ramp up #arrests….

#TomHoman said he did not know why Chicago “became a focus of attention” & said the incoming admin’s enforcement goals are much broader than one city.

#TomHoman has tried to draw attention to the so-called #SanctuaryCities. In November, he suggested that he would ramp up the number of federal #immigration officers in those areas.

“New York City, Chicago, San Francisco, Los Angeles, the major cities in this country are still sanctuary cities,” Homan said then, adding, “If they’re not going to help us, then we’ll just double the manpower in those cities.”

#Trump has promised to carry out #MassDeportations that would target millions of unauthorized immigrants in the US. #TomHoman has said the admin will not hesitate to deport parents who are in the country illegally but have US-born children.

Trump’s team also plans to reassign other federal agents & deputize local police officers & members of the National Guard voluntarily contributed by Republican-run states to help with the #deportation efforts.

Don Terry, a spox for the #Chicago police, said the dept would not “intervene or interfere with any other government agencies performing their duties,” but said it “does not document immigration status” & “will not share information with federal immigration authorities.”

#TomHoman, #Trump’s pick to oversee his promised #MassDeportations, has said the public should expect #immigration action in the early days of the Trump presidency that creates “shock & awe.”
