A busy #hurricane season is expected. Here’s how it will be different from the last
A warm -- yet no longer record-hot -- strip of waters across the #Atlantic #Ocean is forecast to help fuel development of 17 named #tropicalcyclones during the season that runs from June 1 through Nov. 30, according to Colorado State University researchers. Of those tropical cyclones, nine are forecast to become #hurricanes, with four of those expected to reach "major" hurricane strength.

"I've been to too many disasters," muttered Biden before heading to Hawaii.

Well, Biden and people of his generation have been in power for some 40-50 years, all the while ignoring warnings because it was politically too hard to rein in our emissions. Biden himself has been a senator since the 1970's. He has been a much better place to leverage his power and prevent some of these disasters than I have, since before I was born. It is hard not to be mad when I hear quotes like this.

If it wasn't for the pinhole Eye I'd say Super Typhoon Hagibis wouldn't be a Category 5 Major Hurricane on the Saffir Simpson Hurricane Wind Scale (Violent Typhoon on the Japanese Meteorology Agency's Tropical Cyclone Scale), honestly it doesn't look very healthy going by cloud top temperatures (Attachment of a screenshot from CIMSS [Cooperative Institute of Meteorological Satellite Studies] Tropical Cyclone Site on the Hagibis page showing Infrared Imagery with Dvorak Enhancement.).
