800 kilometres #yesterday on the #road (497 miles) I drove to my #home village and took my #father to the #hospital and back, then visited my #mother and drove back home. My ex has corona so he couldn't pick up cats. So I had to drive all the kilometres on the same day. In the evening my cats and I went for a #walk and it was #relaxing. Lonna's sauna had an #international atmosphere. Some had come all the way from #Japan to bath in a #sauna in #Finland. Some time ago I saw news about how popular the #Finnish sauna is in Japan at the moment. Some of the #Japanese in Lonna had visited four different saunas in Finland. In #Lapland too. What a day #yesterday. I drove 3 hours to Lappeenranta, spent 3 hours in the #hospital with my mother and drove 3 hours #home. My mother has #alzheimers and vascular #dementia. First my #father, who lives in a nursing home, and now my #mother. I am so tired right now and have a headache. But life goes on. Way back in the day, "Yesterday," by the Beatles, was my favorite song. Back in those days, I either wore pointed black boots (Beatle boots), or blue sneakers (surfer shoes). I was coming of age, the difficult years when children without close supervision tend to stray. It's the same today, but what can you do? Not all mothers have the resources to stay home, they have to work. Hmmm ... that didn't go in the direction that I thought it would.

Hello my Mastodon #friends. How was your #Christmas? I had a really hard time with my #mother. We assume her dementia is a behavioural variant frontotemporal #dementia that causes emotional problems and bad behavior. I was exhausted when I got #home #yesterday. I even got off the train in Pasila, too early. 
I had a migraine yesterday and #today. But guess what? I had a #date today and we had so much fun. He drove for 2,5 hours to take me out for a #dinner and now he's driving back home.

Today it has been raining hard since midnight. The grass never dries. I'm always wearing wet feet or wellies (Rubber Boots)

The trap is empty, both in food (mice) and, in groundhogs. I'll re-bait, then get the garbage out, and start a shopping list, worthy of the gas to travel to The Harbour.

I can't honestly say that #today was a total #success.
But I did take a bath and wash my hair.

#Yesterday on the drive from #Pueblo #CO to #SantaFe #NM, we had beautiful weather and a nice view of the #snow capped #SangreDeChristo #mountains . Also, if you are ever in Pueblo, I highly recommend Solar Roast Coffee. They have excellent food and drinks.
