@Tutanota DuckDuck and Brave products shouldn't be on this list. They are not fully private. They also been caught lying to users and even more than once. Not by some accidental mistake but on the purpose. Such companies can not be trusted anymore!
And for example #Jami can be added to the listing as an another foss, private, very decent made communicator.

New Jami messenger release.
Improvements include:
- message editing
- faster conmection to peers
- extensions store (to add for example green background to video calls)
- push to talk

Depending on your requirements could replace some usage of any of the following: #xmpp #matrix #signal #skype #googlemeet #msteams #jitsi #zoom

Jami · JamiJami facilitates share, freely and privately.

So... I've found 2 issues while using raspbx (FreePBX-based) with Jami on both Debian and Android:

- Text messages get interpreted as voice calls: I guess SIP text messages are just disabled by default in FreePBX

- No audio comes to or from the Android tablet: seems to be an issue with Jami and sipdroid

@thegibson "...advent of Veilid..." why is veiled so much different to #tox, #jami or a multitude of other decentralised chat systems that also make this proposed law useless?

I'm looking forward to veilid, but how different is it to the others?

Does it have the possibility of offline/caching of messages? That's were most of the other decentralized/P2P chat systems fall down IMO.
