@KawaneRio Glad you like the shirt! FreeWear was very accommodating in getting those shirts to our #FOSDEM booth on short notice.
Come see us at #OSPN OSC Tokyo this month for more goodies! Other #RockyLinux swag is available at https://rockylinux.org/contribute/shop

Thanks @fosdem for the fantastic conference! And thank you to @neil, @nazunalika, @sherif, @lumarel, and all the other #RockyLinux community members who helped run our table!
Thanks to Rocky Linux for sponsoring CentOS Connect.
Looking forward to seeing everyone at @fosdem in three weeks. Stop by the @opensuse booth at K level 1. We'll be with some other great distros like #QubesOS #ubuntu #freebsd #gentoo #debian #fedora #AlmaLinux & #RockyLinux https://fosdem.org/2025/stands/
I got my delivery of my new #kubernetes nodes (#minisforum #ms01). Now I'm waiting for ram and cables. Rather than decide between using the 10Gbit SFP+ ports and the USB-4 ports for the ring network (for #Ceph), I'm just going to set up both. That should give me 30Gbit between each node without using a switch.
Now I need to decide which OS I'll use. Stick with #RHEL 9, or change to #RockyLinux or #Fedora?
Hello all! Recently I have mentioned a research paper I wrote about Plan 9 for school. I first mentioned it at OLF during my "Rocky Linux is My $HOME" talk. I figure now is the perfect time to make it public. The paper is by no means perfect, but that's fine. I plan to flesh it out in the future as a book or series of books.
Enjoy!

@nixCraft Linux from scratch (LFS) or Arch-Linux. Therefore using #RockyLinux is way nicer and stable

Happy Birthday, #Linux!
On August 25th, 1991, 21-year-old Linus Torvalds announced in an online mailing list he had created a “free OS.”
Today, from nest devices to NASA rovers on mars, #android smartphones to the #top500 supercomputers: #Linux powers technology of all levels, all around the world.
Dream big with #FOSS.
Re-intro post I guess. Moved from @aspensmonster@octodon.social to @aspensmonster. Also used to be @aspensmonster@mastodon.technology way back when.

While @rockylinux does contribute to Fedora on the engineering side of the project, we want to highlight the effort they make into our Community Operations Team! Non-engineering work is there to facilitate engineering and the human aspect of the community as a whole. Thanks for helping us on all fronts!
Like Fedora, @rockylinux was recently registered as a Digital Public Good! This recognition comes from a UN affiliated group that focuses on highlighting open source projects that can be used to reach UN Sustainable Development Goals. It's really neat!
@rockylinux , a rising star in the open source galaxy, joins us at #FlockToFedora to share their vision for the future of Linux.
Happy #SysAdminDay!
Huge thanks to all the sysadmins around the world who keep our systems running smoothly and securely. Your hard work and dedication are the backbone of our digital world. We appreciate you!

Who knows their stuff around making RPM packages and would like to work with me on a small open source project for CouchDB packaging?

#RedHat #Fedora #RockyLinux https://narrativ.es/@janl/112836412721485541
Do I know anyone who speaks .rpm fluently that has a few spare hours to help with the upcoming CouchDB release packaging?
You’d be working on a fun open source project and working directly with me :)
「 In April, a CrowdStrike update caused all Debian Linux servers in a civic tech lab to crash simultaneously and refuse to boot. The update proved incompatible with the latest stable version of Debian, despite the specific Linux configuration being supposedly supported. The lab's IT team discovered that removing CrowdStrike allowed the machines to boot and reported the incident 」
