Looks like I found a new species, a hybrid between plant and animal. It's sitting on the hiking trail and looking like it's feeding.

Cold, with periods of rain, but I’ll walk.

A stranger asked, yesterday, if I had anything fun planned. I mentioned editing, which led to my book & she became excited. As I walked away, I could hear her repeating the title so she wouldn’t forget.

The things that happen when you oversleep & can’t think straight.

Be everwell.

These icy sections of #trail are what remained of the #winter in this mountain that hiked earlier this week. The #ice appeared once I got above a certain elevation but was only present below the tree line. Didn’t need microspikes as I could “rock hop” through the sections of ice. #FootpathFriday #mountains #hiking

A "#trains and #trails" idea has been growing in my brain.

The idea is to catch a train to the end of a line, and #run from there to the end of a different line. In #melbourne with very rough routes:
Hurstbridge -> Lilydale (43km)
Lilydale -> Belgrave (36km)
Belgrave -> Pakenham (37km)
Pakenham -> Frankston (45km)
Hurstbridge -> Mernda (12km)
Mernda -> Upfield (27km)
... and so on.

Snow adds contrast, changes perspective.

It’s amazing what I see when I change my perspective, when I push through the anxiety that would rule my life.

If I let it.

The key isn’t failing, but not letting failure stop me.

Be everwell.

Where a century ago there were railroad tracks, a snow covered track skirts cliffs adorned in white where the snow can cling. Around the cliffs is forest, mostly evergreens, that climb the mountain slopes, an entire peak visible to the left. The sky is gray.

This trail in Vermont follows a picturesque stream for miles, crossing over the stream many times on bridges like this. While I was cross country skiing on the trail earlier this week, there were also people running, walking, and cycling (fat tires). Fun for all! #FootpathFriday #Footbridge #skiing
